Farewell, 2015. Wow, you’re gone as quickly as you came.
2015, I want to thank you for the year of refinement. I remember how sad to let go of my 2014 revival year, but I was filled with excitement and anticipation to welcome you back then, despite knowing that new challenges and trials await me.
As precious metals are refined by fire, so my life this 2015. I’ve been refined in the fire of adversity and problems. My spiritual life was tested as fire tests the purity of silver and gold. Throughout the process — there were moments I cried, breakdown, and almost want to relinquish my grip on hope and trust. Truly, my journey through the year of refinement is difficult and painful. I’ve realized that when God tests your heart and faithfulness, it is not always the best part of your journey, but it creates a beautiful story of victory.
And so, I thank you, 2015. My journey attests that my life is in the grip of God. It was his grace, love, and mercy that sustained me and not my own strength.
Thank you for how this year refined me as a person to be stronger for the coming new year of my life. Farewell, 2015 and welcome, 2016!. Now, I’m ready to turn the page and begin the new chapter of my life.
May God renews his mercies to me, to my family, and to you. Happy new year! Let’s start the fresh new beginning everyone.
