My Ambitious Bucket List

Of course, I’m ambitious. What’s wrong with that? Otherwise, you sleep all day.  ― Ringo Starr

With one or two years to go before I reach my mid-twenties, I thought I’d make (for the first time) a bucket list of things I want to achieve and travel experiences I want to try. For now, I’d like to share 10 random things on my life-long bucket list that I want to accomplish. Let’s encourage each other and enjoy!

1. Visit different places in the Philippines. (that I haven’t been to yet)

I’ve been to different beautiful places in this country where I have lived for 20 years, but indeed there are still more I need to discover in my homeland before anywhere else. I’m so excited to explore my first love.

2. Travel in Europe.

I don’t know but I’ve always had a love affair with Europe ever since I was a kid, seeing those beautiful places in movies and pictures makes me want to fly over there to roam around, take tons of pictures and meet strangers. Probably because aside from the fact that these places are beautiful — I’m a huge fan of historical places and I love how it gives you the feeling of being transported back in times.

3.Visit an orphanage.

I love little innocent kids so much. I’ve always wanted to visit orphans ever since I was a kid. I want to see their smile and witness joy on their faces as you surprised them with simple gifts, spend time and share your life with them. Hopefully, I’ll be able to celebrate my birthday with them. It is a priceless gift.

4. Own a library cafe

Who wouldn’t love to own a library coffee shop? If you are a book and coffee lover, you’ll definitely want to own business like this.

5. Visit a beautiful huge library.

Booooooks! Take me to one of the huge and stunning libraries in this world before I die, please! lol.

6. Volunteer in a charity organization in the Philippines.

From a young age, I have held a special place in my heart for children. It started when I got hooked on watching documentary films featuring children living in poverty.  Those children taught me compassion and humility, and I feel like my life wouldn’t be complete without sharing it with them.

7. Visit the Holy Land

I have always wanted to travel to the Holy Land. I think it is many Christians’ dream. It is a different and truly an unforgettable experience to see where Jesus died for our sins and to see where He rose from the dead.

8. Go on a short-term mission trip.

I want to go on a mission trip and let God open my eyes to another culture where I can extend his love that I have within. I want to go deeper and experience Him in a new way.

9. Be a travel photographer

It is my dream job. I love traveling, and I love taking pictures. Photos are preserved memories. I love how it can take me back to a moment in my life or place I’ve been to that was so special. I pray that it is something I could do for a living.

10. Travel the world with someone I love.

One day, my future husband. Whoever and wherever you are right now, we’ll travel the world someday. lol

So there you have it! Hopefully, I can cross every item off on my bucket list. It may take a long time, but let’s claim it.

Hi, Jonine! I just stumbled upon your blog. Everything in this list is really inspiring! If I get the chance to visit a tourist attraction in the Philippines at least once a month, I would! There’s so much more to love and discover here <3 traveling to Europe is also included in my bucket list. I know it will take a lot of time before I could save some money for my eurotrip but I'll make sure that it will happen! A library cafe! I will stay there ALL the time. I swear. The smell of the books + coffee = <3 there's so much more that I would like to mention about your bucket list. Anyway, I love EVERYTHING in the list. 🙂 reading it makes me excited for you!

Awh these is honestly a really wonderful, compassionate bucket list! I’ve visited an orphanage before, and it’s one of the best and heartbreaking experiences I’ve had. The kids were so, so adorable and lovely, and it breaks my heart knowing that their parents left them. :c I’ll definitely visit you if you open a library cafe hehe.

Hey Jonine! Visiting you here! 😀 Your title is pretty catchy. I don’t know how I landed here but I loved it, so I stayed. And I didn’t regret any, it’s so inspiring.

Anyways, the photo of the huge library looks so familiar to me. Was it the library inside Rijsk Museum in the beautiful country of Netherlands?
